The Opus Honor Choir is the annual state-wide festival for singers grades 5-9. The Iowa Choral Directors Association selects the best singers from all over the state through an audition process in September.  The festival itself is held on the campus of Iowa State University the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Central has had many 9th grade students accepted over the years.
